Xiaomi Pad 7! Its predecessor, the Xiaomi Pad 6, is still a great value for money tablet. In fact, in the last 1-1.5 years, if anyone asked me which Android tablet to buy, I’d close my eyes & say the Xiaomi Pad 6. Because it was a really great device! And let me tell you, it’s a step ahead of the Xiaomi Pad 7!

Watch the full Blog & don’t write in the comments that it’s just like that. But watch the full video, there are some things that should’ve been there.

It would’ve been better if it was better. It’s the same with every device. Xiaomi Pad 7 is no different. But friends, overall if I look at this device, I really like it! Yes, you’ll know why. SUBSCRIBE if you haven’t already.  Tablets, documentation, 45W adapter, USB Type A to Type C charging cable & nothing else. Alright, that’s about it. It’s a big box, but it’s not much.

Let’s keep this aside & look at the tabs. Before that, let me show you something which is very important. It comes with a focus pen & a folio case.

If you’re planning to look at or buy this, you should definitely look at it. I’m going to unbox it & tell you everything about it. Let’s open it! Alright, it looks similar. There are already connectors for the folio case & there’s Xiaomi branding on it. It looks nice & it’s not bad at all. It’s manageable, it’s not that big.

It’s a 11.2” screen, but it’s still quite manageable & not very heavy. Let’s talk about the weight. It’s 475g. No, it’s 550g. Let’s see. No, it’s 570g. Let’s see. Alright, it’s 498g. Wow, it’s light! Friends, it’s very difficult to guess the weight of these big devices.

Because the weight distribution is different. Here, you think it’s heavy, but it’s not that heavy. Or at one place, you think it’s very heavy, but it’s not. So it can be wrong in a tablet, so I was quite wrong. Let’s talk about the ports & buttons. There’s a USB Type C port at the bottom & 2 speaker grills. On the right, there’s a microphone at the bottom. Then there’s a pencil, which I’ll show you later. Then there’s a volume rocker.

There’s another microphone at the top. There’s a power on off button at the top. There are 2 speaker grills again.

And again, there’s 1 microphone here. And Dolby Vision Atmos is written here. So it supports Dolby Vision Atmos. There’s nothing on the left hand side. By the way, you can’t see the antenna lines here, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a metal frame. This is a metal frame.

It’s also in aluminium at the back. So this is metal, but it has integrated antennas. And this is not a 5G variant. It only supports Wi-Fi. We won’t see it when it falls. This is a tablet & it doesn’t fall out of the pocket.

No, I’m not going to do that. I mean, this is bad. It’s made of wood & it can be mocked. But when such a big display falls, anything can happen. So let me try. Oh my God! By the way, 2-3 people have already turned their faces.

Someone has put a book on their face. I’m also getting tensed about this, I’ll be honest. 1, 2 &… No, no, no! 1, 2 &… No, nothing has happened. Let’s make it fall from the back as well. Excitement, next level! 1, 2 &… 3! No, nothing has happened. So the build quality is good, absolutely no problems.

The ports & buttons are done. Let me start the display. Oh my God! I shouldn’t have done this drop test. Let’s talk about the display. It’s a 11.2” 3.2K resolution 144Hz IPS LCD display. The brightness has increased. Last time, the Xiaomi Pad 6 had 550 nits, now it’s 800 nits. So when you use it outdoors, there are absolutely no problems. If you look at the bezels, there are uniform bezels on all 4 sides. And it looks like a tablet when you hold it like this while gaming. So there should be some bezels. According to me, this is the perfect size.

But if it was a little narrower, you’d be able to hold it with one hand if you have big hands. Otherwise, it’ll be something like this & it’ll fall. So keep in mind to hold it with 2 hands.I won’t call it a webcam, it’s a selfie camera. It’s on the horizontal side, so that’s good if you want to make Blogcalls. That’s the right alignment. And on the left hand side, you get the camera module. The display is amazing overall. Let’s talk about the specifications.

If I compare it with the Xiaomi Pad 6, then the performance has nearly doubled. The previous one was on 870, which was decent but it’s an old processor. But the base variant has LPDDR5X RAM type & UFS 3.1 storage type. The top variant has UFS 4.0 storage type. So the read & write speeds are good. And there’s another important thing that I have to mention about the display.

It’s a nano textured display. The brightness has increased & it’s a nano textured display. But in the base variant, you don’t get a nano textured display. But that makes a lot of difference & the display looks beautiful. If you think about it, there’s HDR10+, Dolby Vision support, so it’s great for multimedia. It has quad stereo speakers, so the sound is amazing & the display is big.

So the Blogviewing experience is excellent. There’s Widevine L1 support on Netflix if you’re streaming on a big 11.2” screen. You’re absolutely going to enjoy it. So for multimedia, I’d say it’s one of the best tablet devices out there. There’s not much difference in the battery, it’s increased by 10mAh. The 8840mAh battery on the Xiaomi Pad 6 is now 8850mAh.

Yes, the charging has gone from 33W to 45W. So it’ll take you around 1.5 hours to fully charge. Here, I’d say it’s a big display. The 8850mAh battery on phones is 7K, so it would’ve been better if it was 10K. But still, for the price, let’s talk about the pricing. Pricing is between Rs 25-30K.

The base variant should be somewhere around Rs 26-28K. And above Rs 30K, you’ll get the top variant. But yeah, that is very nice.

Talking about the pricing, the Focus Pen is priced at Rs 9K. At least that’s what the price on the box is, I don’t know the actual price. But still, it’s definitely going to be around Rs 6-7K. Open it! But if you’re a creative person & you want to draw, definitely you should get this. It’s called the Focus Pen by Xiaomi. And it sticks right here.

Or you can also put it like this. Yeah, like this. And it charges from there. So it charges on it’s own, it doesn’t have a separate port. So you don’t need to charge it. Let me quickly show you this as well.

This is heavy by the way. We’re not sure about the cost, but it’ll be around Rs 10-12K, according to me. But the quality is seriously good by Xiaomi for this folio case. So if you buy this, it can be a great replacement for a laptop. Why should I tell you? You can buy this for Rs 10-12K. Your setup will be ready by under Rs 50K.

This can be a beautiful setup. It’s very portable. And look at this, you can carry it.Oh, this is fantastic! All together, the total weight of the folio case & the pen is 1105g. It’s 1kg or 1100g. And you can carry it everywhere.

And wherever you want to work, you can open it immediately. Yes, there’s no 5G or LTE variant. But you can use your phone’s hotspot. And if you look at the folio case or the keyboard, it’s a full sized keyboard. The travel distance of the key is 1.3mm, which is again excellent. You won’t miss it.

Even the trackpad is a decent sized trackpad. I love this setup. Let me talk about the other things. All sensors are included. There’s no side mounted fingerprint sensor or optical fingerprint sensor. There’s face unlock.

Let’s talk about the OS. It runs on HyperOS 2.0 which is based on Android 15. Xiaomi hasn’t told us about the updates. But according to me, you should get 3 years of major updates & 4 years of security updates. Absolutely no problems. And HyperOS is much improved.

If you compare it with the previous MIUI, it’s definitely very fluid & lightweight. We’ve made a Blogon HyperOS, do watch it if you haven’t. You’ll get to know its features. You’ll get to know the features of AI in HyperOS. There’s another feature in it. It’s a big part of Xiaomi’s ecosystem & it has HyperConnect.

If you have a Xiaomi 14 or Xiaomi 14 Ultra, you can seamlessly connect it. You can mirror the entire phone. You can easily transfer files. You can take a photo here & bring it to the big screen. You can easily do that. There’s clipboard mapping.

If you want to copy something in 2 minutes, you can do it. So this HyperConnect works beautifully well. There’s close integration with Gemini. You get nearly all the features of AI in this tablet. I forgot to tell you about the gaming performance. Because a lot of people buy tablets for gaming & not just for multimedia.

They want a big screen. And I’d say this is a great gaming device. Especially because the 7 Plus Gen 3 is a very capable chipset. We played Genshin Impact for nearly 45 minutes. We continuously played at 59-60FPS. We were definitely getting 59FPS.

And if you do long gaming sessions, you won’t get throttled. Yes, the CPU stability score was above 91%. Which is excellent. Let’s talk about connectivity. You get Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC to transfer files. You can do touch, tap to transfer.

So that’s it. And there’s a Wi-Fi variant. There’s no 5G or LTE. There’s an IR Blaster as well. Let’s talk about the camera. You get a 13MP primary sensor on the back & an 8MP selfie sensor. So that’s about it. It’s a tablet so we don’t go & click pictures. We don’t click pictures, but you can. It shouldn’t be a problem. This is a USB 3.2 Gen 1. So you get 5Gbps transfer speeds. Especially if you want to stream for gamers.

So finally, I’d say the Xiaomi Pad 7 is a worthy successor. It would’ve been better if it had a 5G variant. The battery capacity would’ve been better.

But other than that, if I talk about performance, display, multimedia, HyperOS, it’s features & hyper connectivity, I think this is a great tablet. Not just that, if you don’t want to carry a big laptop, & you really need something very portable, then under Rs 50K, you can get a great portable device. Which basically works like a laptop.

And then whenever you want, it can be a tablet as well. This is the Xiaomi Pad 7. If you have any questions, do ask them in the comments below. If you enjoyed the video, then do hit LIKE & SHARE with your friends.
